Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using MenuPics ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Description of Service

MenuPics is an AI-powered menu scanning app that extracts dish information from photos of restaurant menus and matches each dish to real food photographs from third-party image search services. The app is intended as a visual aid for ordering and is not a substitute for ingredient labels, allergen information, or restaurant guidance.

Accuracy Disclaimer

Dish photos shown in the app are sourced from third-party image search providers, including Bing Image Search, Pexels, and Wikimedia Commons, and may not exactly represent the dish as prepared by the specific restaurant you are visiting. AI-extracted dish names, descriptions, prices, and categories are best-effort and may contain errors. Always confirm details with the restaurant before ordering.

Allergen and Dietary Warning

MenuPics does not detect allergens or dietary restrictions. Do not rely on the app to identify ingredients. If you have food allergies, dietary restrictions, or medical conditions, always verify ingredients directly with the restaurant. We are not liable for allergic reactions, dietary issues, or any health outcomes related to your food choices.

Subscriptions

MenuPics offers an optional auto-renewable subscription ("MenuPics Pro") that grants the scan allowance and features shown in the app at the time of purchase. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
• Free trial periods, if offered, automatically convert to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends.
• Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Scan Packs

MenuPics also offers consumable scan packs, such as a 5-scan pack, as one-time purchases. Scan credits do not expire while the app remains installed and your app user ID remains active. Unused credits are non-refundable except as required by law or by Apple's refund policy.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted through Apple. Visit Apple Support to request a refund.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app to violate any applicable law or regulation
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app
• Abuse or attempt to overload our backend services, including automated scraping or excessive scan requests
• Use the app or its outputs in a way that infringes on the intellectual property rights of restaurants, photographers, or other third parties

User Content

Menu photos you upload are processed by our backend and Google Gemini as described in our Privacy Policy. You retain all rights to photos you take. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to photograph any menu you scan. We do not claim ownership of your photos.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding in MenuPics are the property of Anthony Calise. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the app or its content without written permission. Dish photos shown in the app are owned by their respective photographers or providers and are subject to their licensing terms.

Limitation of Liability

MenuPics is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to inaccurate dish information, allergic reactions, dietary issues, data loss, or service interruptions. Your use of the app and reliance on its content is at your own risk.

Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the state in which the developer resides.
