K-Pop Bias Battle ("we", "the app") is a tier-list and bias-ranking app for iOS that helps K-pop fans rank their favorite idols through head-to-head matchups. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights.
K-Pop Bias Battle does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number. The app does not have a backend that stores your data.
All of your tier lists, bias rankings, theme preferences, daily reminder settings, and Pro purchase status are stored locally on your device. We do not operate a database of your rankings or browsing history. You can clear all locally stored data at any time from within the app's Settings screen, or by uninstalling the app.
Member photos shown in the app are sourced from Wikimedia Commons, which hosts freely licensed images of public figures. The app fetches these images from Wikimedia's public CDN as you use the app. No personal data is sent with these requests beyond your device's IP address (standard for any HTTP request).
K-Pop Bias Battle offers a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase ("Bias Battle Pro") through Apple's App Store. Purchase and billing information is handled entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment details. Purchase status is verified through RevenueCat, a third-party purchase management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and entitlement status; no name, email address, phone number, or payment details are shared by K-Pop Bias Battle.
Free users see banner and interstitial ads served by Google AdMob. Pro users see no ads. AdMob may collect:
If you decline tracking when prompted (or in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking), AdMob serves non-personalized ads instead. You can also disable advertising entirely by purchasing Bias Battle Pro.
If you enable the daily Match-up reminder in Settings, the app schedules a local push notification on your device for the time you choose. Notifications are scheduled and delivered locally by iOS. We do not operate a notification server and do not receive any data when notifications are delivered.
When you tap the Share button, the app captures your tier list as an image on-device, optionally saves it to your iOS Photo Library (with your permission), and opens the iOS share sheet. The app never uploads your tier lists or shared images to any server.
When you share a tier list image, the app asks iOS for permission to add the captured image to your Photo Library. If you decline, the share still works through the iOS share sheet — the app simply will not save a copy to your Photos. The app never reads existing photos from your library.
K-Pop Bias Battle is rated 4+ but is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not have any social features, chat, login, or user-generated content.
Because K-Pop Bias Battle does not require an account and does not have a backend, we do not retain user profiles or data on our servers. To delete locally stored data, use the "Clear all data" button in the app's Settings, or uninstall the app from your device. Anonymous purchase records are retained by RevenueCat in accordance with their data retention policy.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
