CloserLab ("we", "the app") is a sales objection roleplay practice app for iOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights.
To generate realistic practice buyers, you enter information about what you sell, your industry, your target buyer, and (optionally) your name. You can also paste call transcripts or write custom objections. All of this content is provided voluntarily and used only to generate buyer roleplays and coaching feedback for you. We do not require, ask for, or store names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other personal contact information.
Your offer, your buyer roster, your replay history, and your settings are stored locally on your device. We do not maintain user accounts or a user database. Roleplay content is sent to our processing servers to generate AI buyer replies, coaching scores, and voice — see below.
To deliver the core features of CloserLab, the content you write or speak during a roleplay is sent to our backend, which forwards it to third-party AI providers:
These providers receive only the roleplay text and audio needed for the request. No device identifier or personal account information is sent to them. Audio is processed in-flight and is not retained on our servers after the response is returned. We only share data with third parties that are contractually required to protect it to a standard at least equivalent to this policy, and to use it solely to perform the requested service. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy, OpenAI's Privacy Policy, and Fish Audio's Privacy Policy.
When you use voice mode, the app records the audio of what you say so it can be transcribed. The recording is sent to OpenAI's transcription API and is not retained by CloserLab after transcription. The text of the AI buyer's reply is then sent to Fish Audio's text-to-speech service to generate the spoken response you hear; your own voice recording is never sent to Fish Audio. You can use the app in text-only mode at any time if you prefer not to use voice features.
CloserLab does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide personal contact information such as your name, email address, or phone number.
CloserLab offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions ("CloserLab Pro") managed through Apple's App Store. Purchase and billing information is handled entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment details. Subscription status is verified through RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and subscription status — no personal information is shared. For more information, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
CloserLab uses AppsFlyer to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns on platforms such as Meta, TikTok, and Apple Search Ads. AppsFlyer may process:
This data is used solely to attribute app installs to the ad campaign that drove them and to measure conversion. No personally identifiable information is transmitted. You can opt out of tracking through your device's privacy settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking) or by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt.
For more information, see AppsFlyer's Privacy Policy.
CloserLab requests permission to track via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. If you decline, attribution still works using Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork — without any IDFA. You can change your choice at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
CloserLab may send optional local push notifications as daily practice reminders. These are scheduled entirely on your device and do not involve any server communication. You can disable notifications at any time in the app settings or in Settings > Notifications > CloserLab.
CloserLab does not use any third-party crash reporting services. Apple may collect anonymized crash reports through its standard iOS diagnostics if you have opted in at the system level.
CloserLab is not directed at children under 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because we do not maintain user accounts, there is no profile to access, export, or delete. You can clear all locally-stored data at any time by tapping "Clear all data" in the app's settings or by uninstalling the app from your device.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
